Senior Living Communities in the Works
The Knolls Senior Living Community
The facility will be built on 13 western acres of the former Knolls Golf Course. According to the president of Dial Senior Properties, Pat Day, the community will be offering Independent, Assisted and Memory-Care living to 256 seniors.
Eastmont Towers at Yankee Hill
Expected to break ground in 2017, the facility could house 326 seniors. Plans include 102 Independent-Living unities, 48 Assisted-Living units, as well as Memory-Care units, and a 24 bed Skilled Nursing Center.
Victory Gardens
This joint venture between the Veterans Administration and Lincoln’s nonprofit Seniors Foundation is still in the planning phases, but the plans offer hope for both seniors and veterans. These preliminary plans include 60 120 units of two-story, 7 four-plex housing, 70 units of permanent supportive housing for veterans, 60 market-rate apartments and 100+ housing units and office space for Aging Partners and the Seniors Foundation.
The Housing Project Formerly Known as Gable Pines
This three-story senior living community is planning to include 105 units for Assisted and Memory Care living. It will be built on 10 acres of land near Hillcrest Country Club and be managed by Life Care Communities of Des Moines, Iowa. While the name is still being decided on, the plans are set to break ground in April.
