Jacob Brooks, Certified Senior Advisor®
When I was introduced to Bridge to Better Living, I was drawn to the passion and commitment Mary Ann and the team have poured into helping families and the aging population in Lincoln and Omaha. Knowing that families and seniors, in Northern Kentucky, combated the same challenges of determining which Senior Living Community would best meet the needs of their loved one, I felt compelled to bring Bridge to Better Living to my own community.
As your trusted Senior Transition Consultant, I understand the emotional and financial stress that comes with finding the right solution for Seniors and their families in need. I am here to lead you through the process with compassion, experience, and empathy.
In my role as Vice President of Northern Kentucky YMCAs, I worked hard to find new ways to serve families and seniors, as well as meet new challenges our community has faced. One of the most impactful tasks I faced was in 2015; we had been managing one of three Senior Centers in Boone County when the other two abruptly became unable to continue to support operations. County officials and communities quickly turned to my team and me to step in, and we continue to support all three Senior Centers to this day.
I bring a wealth of experience to Bridge to Better Living Family including a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) which will help me address concerns seniors and their families might have regarding financial aspects of Senior living. I have successfully delivered a variety of programs and services to over 20,000 individuals annually across Northern Kentucky, including the aging population. Additionally, I have served as a fiduciary Board Member with Baptist Life Communities, which provide independent living, personal care, long-term care, skilled nursing, and memory care to seniors.
Lastly, my driving force is my family. I am a proud father of 3 wonderful children, two of whom are boy/girl twins. I met my awesome wife, Andrea, while working at the Parkersburg YMCA – she was a news reporter for the local news station at the time. When I have some downtime, I enjoy playing golf, exercising, being outdoors, and attending sporting events.
Terri Jones, LPN
Transition Consultant / Bridge to Better Living of Northern Kentucky
First-hand experience of caring for my grandparents and not knowing how to guide and help them, or my parents, through the transition to Senior retirement communities, enabled me to find my purpose and role in Senior Living. Bridge to Better Living provides the avenue to fulfill my goals and compassion for helping Seniors.
I have been married 22 years with three children and one granddaughter. We live on a farm in Gallatin County where I was raised, and I contribute my Faith to my many blessings. I know with this new role as a Senior transition consultant, I will be able to make what seems to be an overwhelming, stressful decision an easier one for families and their loved ones.
My first experience with Seniors was at Gallatin Nursing & Rehab as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at the age of 14. It was in this community I cared for my grandmothers and grandfather. I later attended Jefferson Community & Technical College (JCTC) where I graduated with an associate degree in nursing. I was a Nurse Manager at Gallatin Nursing & Rehab for 10 years.
In 2015 my career guided me to Baptist Life Communities where I was a manager of their dementia unit and eventually the transitional care unit. My next professional career move was the Director of Nursing with Dominion Senior Living in 2021. Through a mutual friend I met Jacob Brooks and accepted the opportunity to join Bridge to Better Living as a Senior transition consultant. I truly believe God put us in the right places with the right people at just the right times. I feel blessed to have this opportunity to fulfill my goals and ambitions for Seniors by working with Jacob and Bridge to Better Living of Northern Kentucky.
